Obama' New Race Card . . . Hispanics

Forget subtlety. The Obama campaign is now running an ad in Spanish that directly accuses John McCain, the man conservatives have attacked for being "too soft" on Mexican immigration, as practicing racism through marginalizing Hispanics. What's next, an ad accusing the man who attacked Bush's policies concerning taxes, spending and campaign finance of being just like Bush? Oh, I guess they've already been there.

A translation of the ad provided by The Weekly Standard:

"They want us to forget the insults we've put up with, the intolerance," the television ad's announcer says in Spanish as a picture of Rush Limbaugh appears onscreen with quotes of him saying, "Mexicans are stupid and unqualified" and "Shut your mouth or get out."

"They made us feel marginalized in a country we love so much," the ad continues. "John McCain and his Republican friends have two faces. One that says lies just to get our vote and another, even worse, that continues the failed policies of George Bush that put special interests ahead of working families."

John McCormack writes: "ABC's Jake Tapper reports that those Limbaugh quotes have been horribly ripped out of context by Obama. Really, you have to read all of Tapper's post to see how utterly dishonest the Obama campaign is. "
