Democratic Party Power Grab Update

I admit it, it's worse than I could have ever imagined.

Oh, I knew Obama liked himself more than any man should outside of a bathroom. But the power grab by a President and his minions the quickly into his administration is unpresidented. And it's damn scary. Sure, they rushed through the largest liberal spending spree in U.S. history under the guise of a stimulus package without allowing a single Republican to help talor the bill. (Don't worry, ACORN, the check is in the mail). But it's the O's corruption of institutions and processes that are supposed to be apolitical that have me quaking like Scooby in the face of that Alien-garbed gardener.

The administration has made the census a priority. That's right, what is supposed to be an apolitical system of counting the population rose above dealing with North Korea on the Obama docket. Why was it so important for him to make a political landgrab so early in his tenure by "moving the U.S. census into the White House." As Fox reports:

As a matter of impact, the census has tremendous political significance. Political parties are always eager to have a hand in redrawing districts so that they can maximize their own party's clout while minimizing the opposition, often through gerrymandering.

The census also determines the composition of the Electoral College, which chooses the president. If one party were to control the census, it could arguably try to perpetuate its hold on political power.

The results of the census are also enormously important in another way -- the allocation of federal funds. Theoretically, a political party could disproportionately steer federal funding to areas dominated by its own members through a skewing of census numbers.

So, I take it ACORN didn't registered quite enough of the dead for comfort during the last election cycle.

Khaki, it's UNbelievable what's happened in only 3 weeks...and this census redistricting grab is going to solidify it. We might never recover.
