It was nice having a Prez who wasn't afraid to slap the hummus out of Hamas or any other terrorist who had the misguided belief that they could tread on US.
There is a lot that President Bush has done wrong. Fighting terrorism with every tool at his disposal is not one of them (just wished that he had talked about it more often in the bully pulpit he refused to use).
I have often made the point to my colleagues of the leftie persuasion, that I think history will be kind to W. He has kept us safe from terrorists since 9/11 which is no small feat. I just wish he had vetoed some of the congressional spending that has nearly ruined our economy. He will also get credit for trying to make the gutless Dems see the light on Freddie and Fannie and Social Security. Time has a way of making people see more clearly.
I agree that the greatest flaw in the Bush presidency was his failure to use the veto as an economic tool. But all said, he has done more damage global terrorism than most of the world leaders combine.
