The video of Van Jones, Obama's Green Jobs Czar (aka, Czar # 103), calling Republicans "assholes" is making it's way around the web like kool aid at a B.H.O. rally. You can check it out over at theblogprof, who provides a succinct summary. And if you watch the video, try to ignore the ignorance of the questioner, who seems to be unaware of the massive stimulus fiasco and other money burning bills that the current democrats in power have passed.
But beyond his recent comments, what do you really know about Van Jones? Well, here's a primer. And just try to count the assholes in his inner circle.
That's right, liberals, all those right wing nut jobs who claimed that Obama was a socialist were just a bunch of paranoid wackoes. It could could never happen in America.
"The prepackaged GM bankruptcy deal — crafted by the administration, the company, the United Auto Workers union and a group of bondholders — would give the U.S. government a 60 percent controlling stake in what was once the world's largest automaker. An additional 12.5 percent would be under Canadian government ownership."
The day you thought would never happen has arrived. The U.S. government now controls what was once one of the largest publicly owned companies in the world. First Obama authorized giving GM millions of dollars in bailout loans just before driving them into bankruptcy (and only a genius like Obama would give millions to a company before leading them to bankruptcy). Then Obama used his "Automotive Task Force," which is conveniently devoid of anybody who actually worked in the automotive industry, to take control.
Of course, blinded Obama supportors will follow their leader, believing every teleprompted word explaining that this is a short-term but necessary endeavor. Why is it that I myself paraphrasing George Orwell's Animal Farm:
"It had become usual to give Obama the credit for every successful achievement and every stroke of good fortune. You would often hear one hen remark to another, 'Under the guidance of our Leader, Comrade Obama, I have laid five eggs in six days'; or two cows, enjoying a drink at the pool, would exclaim, 'Thanks to the leadership of Comrade Obama, how excellent this water tastes!'"
As Barack Obama continues to feed them words they long to hear.
"What I have no interest in doing is running GM," Obama said. His only goal, he said, was to get GM back on its feet and then "to get out quickly."
But as White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said, "[Obama] has a strong obligation to ensure that there is a management structure in place that is making smart business decisions." So now the President of the United States (who has never managed a company) with the help of the Federal Government (who mismanage everything they touch) are going to decide what is a "smart business decision." Sounds to me like "running GM" is exactly what Obama and his minions intend to do. And they believe that they have the right to do so.
"No one believes more firmly than Comrade Obama that all animals are equal. He would be only too happy to let you make your decisions for yourselves. But sometimes you might make the wrong decisions, comrades, and then where should we be?"
Luckily if Obama should make a poor decision he will fall back on his tried and true defense: George Bush, the Republicans and those greedy CEOs are to blame! Or to go all Orwellian again:
"If a window was broken or a drain was blocked up, someone was certain to say that Bush had come in the night and done it, and when the key of the store-shed was lost, the whole farm was convinced that Bush had thrown it down the well. Curiously enough, they went on believing this even after the mislaid key was found under a sack of meal."
You see, we are being being told that this is not socialism; that the far-left wing of the Democratic Party that is now in power is simply doing what must be done because of the failures of their predoccessors (I guess ignoring the fact that most of them have been in Washington for a very long time). We are being told that market solutions are not the answer and that they are the only ones who can save us from ourselves. Because:
ALL ANIMALS ARE EQUAL BUT SOME ANIMALS ARE MORE EQUAL THAN OTHERS.
Obama's naivety toward foreign policy was kinda cute during the presidential campaign. With big floppy ears flapping he bounced from sofa to sofa just waiting for a tail-wagger scruff from an adoring autocrat. Wasn't he precious? But the cute naive puppy has become the big dawg and his empowering ass-sniffs with murderous dictators is no longer amusing.
Obama's latest lapping of rapid rape hound Hugo Chavez proves just how dangerous the new Prez's foreign policy antics can be. Not only does he allow himself to be photographed accepting the America-bashing book, Open Veins of Latin America (making the book an instant international bestseller), but he also gave the dictator worldwide policy credibility with his doting ear-to-ear grin . . . and that, dear reader, is quite a grin.
As former Reagan diplomat Otto Reich put it in Newsmax:
“I think it’s very unfortunate. I don’t think President Obama really understands, perhaps out of lack of experience in international affairs, the importance of symbolism . . . But in Venezuela Hugo Chavez said last night this is the greatest triumph in Venezuelan diplomacy ever. Because what he is trying to do is to portray this as an endorsement of his policies, which is called 21st century socialism but which is really just retread 20th-century fascism.”
Naivety loses it's cuteness when the yapping bark of ignorance becomes a noxious bite.
Orgasmic from their rape of GM and Chrysler, the Obama administration is preparing America for another assault on the public sector. According to the tax-cheating Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner:
"If, in the future, banks need exceptional assistance in order to get through this, then we'll make sure that assistance comes with conditions, not just to protect the taxpayer but to make sure this is the kind of restructuring necessary for them to emerge stronger," he told "Face the Nation" on CBS. "And where that requires a change of management of the board, we'll do that."
Since the Federal Government has screwed up the finances for Social Security, Medicare, the USPS and virtually every other project under their supervision, who better to determine whether or not a change in management is require? And especially interesting is how the administration is justifying their rape of corporations in the public sector. "If they come to us, they're asking for it. Did you see how they were dressed?"
My only hope is that the public will begin to see this power grab for what it is and that corporations will shun the administrations overtures. Their 90% retroactive tax on AIG bonuses that they were already aware of (and figured we'd be none the wiser) should prove that you can't trust the word of our current White House occupants, even if it is written down on a teleprompter.
OK, moderate Democrats, will you finally admit that Obama is a socialist? You claimed that Republicans are simply paranoid fear-mongers who see a government power grab every time a tax is ticked. You said Obama wasn't a radical with his Che posters and off-script yapping about redistribution. You claimed that the Chosen One couldn't be a commie cause he's so dang cute. Well, he's not cute anymore.
ACORN (a group responsible for some voter fraud that is unprecedented in American history) has been tasked by the federal government (Obama) to assist with the official U.S. Census, thus employing a politically partisan and corrupt arm of the current administration to assist with the formerly neutral but critical job of counting people to allocate funds and representation.
There has always been a tingly fear among conservatives and moderates that if the liberals ever gained absolute control they would begin pull us all into their nanny-state wet dreams.
Obama, Reid and Pelosi now have absolute control.
We are no longer wondering and the tingly fear has become a bitter reality. The liberal, controlling arm of the Democratic party is not "progressive," they are socialists . . . and they have brought it to America by stepping over previously self-imposed restrictions on Federal power in a way unprecedented in American history
I saw this troubling video over at Nikki's blog. Normally I wouldn't duplicate the video or my comments on The Khaki Elephant, but when I woke up in a cold sweat thinking about the liberal shanking of rugged American individualism and self-reliance, I found my fingers dancing the cut-and-paste before sleep-crust was wiped from my eyes.
"Oh, gracious God" . . . it's hard to tell if he's happy to speak with the President or if he was referring to Obama by his media appellation.
Now I know that Julio Osegueda is less interested in what I have to say than the words of The Chosen One. I understand he is inspired by the pretty sentiments, but what this guy really needs is some tough love. So Julio, if you're out there, if you are reading, here's how I would answer your question:
Julio, It's been my experience that if you bust your ass at work and give 100% you're not going to be stuck in that same job at the same pay for long. The fact is that very few people pour their all into everything they do. If you work harder than the majority you will rise to the top. So instead of asking the President what his plans are to help you out, why don't you show a little self-reliance, stop trying to latch hold of the government teet and find a way to make your own life better.
Imagine if your attitude represented the American pioneers blazing the trail to forge a new land. The country that leads the world in the production of medicine, technology and hope would not be a country at all. Our forefathers and mothers would still be sitting in Boston Harbor waiting for the latest shipment of biscuits and tea from mommy England.
Julio, I've seen some of your interviews after this townhall where you were still bubbling about the experience: "The last time I felt somewhat this good was when I receive a playstation3." Listen, my kids don't have a Playstation3 so how bad do you really have it? Julio, put the joystick down, stop buying $50 video games and start sacrificing now to make a better life for yourself later. It's not the job of hard-working American tax payers to fund a nanny-state babysitter to take care of you. This is still the land of opportunity, but opportunity comes from hard work and sacrifice, not from getting a high score at HALO.
Demand the best of yourself. Trust me, you will succeed. With American Respect, Khaki
Some people don't agree with me. In fact, I've heard some praise this video as a wonderful example of how President Obama has inspired young people to become involved in the political dialogue. As for me, I'm less concerned with young people getting interested in politics than I am concerned with young people detaching themselves from this victim mentality they've been feed by liberalism. If this is where Obama inspires them to go . . . less inspiration, please.
Yes, Barack Obama believes in diversity . . . as long as you agree with him.
We all know about the Florida TV station that has be stricken from the Obama Campaign interview list because they dared to ask Joe Biden some tough questions.
Now we learn that a TV station in Biden's old home state has also had their name stripped from Obama's book of life because they dared to question his economic plan in yet another Biden interview.
But Obama's wrath is not just reserved for those who dare question his policies. He will also cast out those few mainstream media outlets that have the audacity to endorse McCain. Journalists from three major newspapers that endorse John McCain, the Washington Times, the New York Post and the Dallas Morning News, have been banned from Barack Obama's campaign plane. The Obama Campaign claimed that they revoked the papers' pre-potential-prez passports because they didn't have enough room . . . but that didn't stop them from adding seats for Obama slappys, the Chicago Tribune, the Chicago Sun-Times, Essence and Jet.
So if the election falls to Obama we'll have a president with a socialist economic plan who refuses to release any actual information about himself (such as his school grades, transcripts, dissertation or campaign donor info) and attempts to silence any media outlet that dares to defy or even question his views.
Well, he's not too happy that it hasn't been reinterpreted to force the redistribution of wealth.
Seriously, this guy is beginning to make Karl Marx seem like a cheerleader for Reaganomics. And the machinery of his economic program is oiled by the blood of Joe the Plumber.
You owe it to yourself (and the rest of us) to check it out at Nikki's Blog!
