Barack Obama > Jesus Christ

"I submit to you, Mr. Speaker, that the parties have differences, but if you want change, you want the Democratic Party. Barack Obama was a community organizer
like Jesus, who our minister prayed about. Pontius Pilate was a governor."
So says Congressman Steve Cohen, a Democrat from Tennessee, spouting the latest Democratic quip that has trickled from the lips of the O-faithful and even found its way onto t-shirts.

But what is the Obama camp intending to tell us with this latest turn of phrase? Are they taking yet another shot at the Clintons, smearing Bill's pre-presidential work as a governor? Are they finally splitting with Nobel Prize winner and former governor Jimmy Carter? Are they trying to equate Franklin Delano Roosevelt with the man who sentence Christ to death?

One thing is clear: the Democrats, fueled by Obama's minions, are making yet another messiah connection with their candidate. We have seen his speech in the Greek Temple, the iconic symbols accompanied by rhythmic chants and finally a direct comparison to Christ himself. And in this comparison it is Christ who comes up short for Obama has done something that Christ couldn't accomplish. Jesus Christ could have never gotten the Democratic presidential nomination; he was pro-life.

And Jesus wasn't a community organizer either. He didn't find little causes to rally people around like Obama did in Chicago. That job description fits more with the false messiahs before and after Him.

Interesting point. Of course isn't it something like 95% of atheists vote Democrat . . . I guess we shouldn't be surprised that their take on Jesus is a bit off.
